Even the smallest details carried weight. As a teenager, Boudwin played the lottery using the numbers 1-1-6, for November 6, and hit. Years later, he would discover another unexpected parallel. He shared the exact same birthdate, November 6, 1976, as Pat Tillman, the Arizona State University icon known for his legacy far beyond football. Boudwin would go on to attend Arizona State as well, unknowingly walking a path already marked by another figure defined by purpose and conviction.
But unlike most stories that lean on coincidence as novelty, Boudwin built his identity around action.
From Athletics to Finance
He wasn’t content following a single lane. He played basketball, danced in an R&B group, and worked in nightlife, managing bars and restaurants in Houston, where his brother served as the mascot for the Houston Rockets. He then played professional poker for 2 years. The schedule was relentless, the environment high-energy, but eventually the lifestyle forced a pivot.
What came next wasn’t expected.
After reading about investment bankers leaving Wall Street to become professional poker players, Boudwin did the opposite. Where others chased unpredictability, he chose structure. Entering the financial world, he earned his Series 7, 6, 63, and 65 licenses, along with his insurance credentials, and began his career with Bank of America in 2006.

In the aftermath of the mortgage crisis, Boudwin found himself entangled in a prolonged legal battle stemming from an incident dismissed over a decade earlier. What should have remained in the past resurfaced, threatening everything he had built. For three years, he fought, not just for his career, but for his name.
He won.
