Management Guru Emmanuel Smart Shares His Formula for Product Success at Texas Event

Bestselling author Emmanuel Smart packed a Plano, Texas event on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, with his insights on product success. Smart, who has launched several successful products, including the popular  “Nibit Mini Snack,” shared his formula for success: focus on customer needs and test products before launching them.

Smart began by discussing the common mistake that many businesses make when trying to create successful products. “They think they know what their customers want,” he said, “but they’re wrong,” Smart explained that businesses need to do their research and understand the real needs of their customers. “What are their pain points?” he asked. “What are their problems?” Once businesses understand these things, they can start to create products that will actually solve problems and meet customer needs.

Smart also stressed the importance of testing products before launching them. “It’s not enough to just think you know what your customers want,” he said. “You need to test your products with real customers to make sure they’re actually solving a problem.” Smart shared the story of how he tested Nibit with a small group of users. The feedback he received from those users helped him to make significant improvements in his product launch approach, which ultimately led to its success.
