The Dallas 24 Hour Club

The Dallas 24 Hour Club is a social club that was created to help people. Our mission is to help people who suffer from mental illness and other problems. The Dallas 24 Hour Club provides transitional housing for homeless men and women seeking a brand new life away from drugs and alcohol. Our goal is to help others and make the world a better place.

We are also an emergency shelter for those who need access to a safe place to go when other shelters do not offer the service they need. We offer shelter 24hrs a day, 365 days a year.
club is open to all kinds of individuals who are suffering from any kind of mental illness, addiction or just struggling with everyday life. The only requirement is that you have a desire to get better and be willing to work towards your recovery.

How Old We Are

“Since 1969, Dallas 24 Hour Club offers a safe place for people to take care of their mental illnesses, by putting our members first. We provides different services to our members and visitors. We offer support groups, counseling, housekeeping and transportation services. Because of what we are trying to accomplish we do all of this as efficiently and cost effectively as possible; which is why we don’t accept government aid or other funding sources. We believe that all people who suffer from a mental illness can and should live fulfilling lives.”

Dallas 24 Hour Club runs two emergency shelters. The main facility has two floors and is located at the corner of W. Martin and E. Stemmons Freeways in Dallas, Texas. Since its opening in 1987, the center has provided temporary refuge and support to over 30,000 people seeking help for substance abuse, mental illness, domestic violence or general homelessness.

Importance of Dallas 24 Hour Club

The Dallas 24 Hour Club houses a variety of people who have a desire to help themselves. People come from all walks of life, ages and levels of education. Some are employed or actively seeking employment and some are not. A majority of the homeless are males, but women make up 20% of the homeless people who live in Dallas shelters.

The number of homeless people in Dallas has never been higher than it is today. Over 1,600 homeless people are present in the city and over 1,000 of those are staying in our emergency shelters. This shows that there is a need for help, immediately. This place does not turn people away because it does not have enough beds to accommodate everyone who needs them. We do what we can to make sure that everyone gets the help they need when they need it most.

Why People visit our club

There are two main reasons why people visit our shelters: Alcohol or Substance Abuse and Mental Illness
We want to show the people that we care about them and want them to get better. We are there for them when they need us the most. Our club proud and happy to be able attend to these people.
There are different kinds of people that live in our club. The age range is 8-85. All of the people in our club have one thing in common. They all need help, and they all need it now.
