Brittney Davis honors every form of motherhood in an event that blends storytelling, sisterhood, and sacred remembrance.

For many, Mother’s Day is a time of joy and celebration. But for countless women, it’s often a reminder of what could have been, what was lost, or what never came to be. That’s why Brittney Davis, founder of Beyond the Celebration, is helping to redefine what this holiday can look like—and who gets to be seen.

On Sunday, May 18, 2025, Brittney will host Healing Through Purpose: A Complimentary Mother’s Day Brunch Experience—an intimate gathering for women in business who have experienced infertility, miscarriage, or child loss. The event, held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 4001 S Sam Houston Parkway E, Suite 114 in Houston, is designed to be a sacred space where grief, legacy, and leadership are honored side by side.

“It’s not just brunch. It’s a mirror for the invisible stories we carry,” says Brittney. “I wanted to create the experience I never had.”

Brittney’s own journey is the heartbeat behind this event. After losing her baby during a painful miscarriage and struggling with endometriosis, she found herself navigating the world of event planning—ironically, celebrating motherhood for others while grieving her own loss in silence. That tension became her turning point. It inspired Beyond the Celebration, a party and event brand that gradually transformed into a mission rooted in healing and purpose.

“I was setting up baby showers while holding heartbreak,” she shares. “And yet, those same moments eventually became part of my healing.”

Healing Through Purpose brings together women who lead, serve, and love, even with grief quietly sitting beside them. It’s an afternoon of community care where every emotion is welcome, and no story is too heavy.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with a thoughtful lineup of offerings:

  • A “Letters to Our Angel Babies” tribute table, where participants can pen love notes to the little lives that changed theirs
  • A balloon reflection moment, honoring invisible motherhood with gentle remembrance
  • A thought-provoking panel conversation on healing, mental wellness, entrepreneurship, and legacy
  • A community-led campaign, #MothersInAllForms, spotlighting women whose motherhood journeys are rooted in loss, advocacy, or purpose

With limited seating and complimentary registration, the event has grown into one of Houston’s most heartfelt Mother’s Day activations, welcoming not only grieving mothers but also allies, sisters, and supporters who believe in holding space for all experiences of womanhood.

“I didn’t have the degree. I didn’t have the experience. I just had pain, prayer, and purpose,” Brittney reflects. “Now, I want to help ensure no woman feels like she has to carry her grief alone.”

The brunch will also serve as a charity launch for the Beyond the Celebration Kids Club, a nonprofit founded by Brittney that provides creative and financial literacy programs to local youth. It’s one more way she’s working to ensure that love, even in the face of loss, leaves a legacy.

Healing Through Purpose is a gathering where women don’t have to smile through the silence. They can sit in it, speak from it, and rise beyond it—together.
