It’s finally here! Time for Spotify’s annual end-of-year list: The Most Streamed Artists, Songs and Albums of 2021.
Bad Bunny, a Puerto Rican Reggaeton artist, is the most streamed artist in Spotify’s 2021 Wrapped. He gained over 9 billion streams, even with his recent album released in 2019.
Followed swiftly by pop icon Taylor Swift, whose old and new fans have gone berserk over her release of an album Red (Taylor’s Version) with the 10-minute long track “All Too Well.”
It’s easy to see why BTS is so successful. The worldwide adored and renowned K-pop group stunned fans with their latest single “Butter” topping at No. 3.
In Spotify’s 2021 Wrapped, Drake and Justin Bieber take up spots 4 and 5. This time around it’s for their newest albums. This new release from two of Canada’s most popular singers has been stealing all ears.
Olivia Rodrigo has achieved worldwide fame with her single “driver’s license.” The song, which features heartfelt lyrics and feelings of passion for life in general tops most streamed songs on Spotify globally for the year.
“MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name) by Lil Nas X tops at No. 2. The Kid LAROI and his new single “Stay,” with Justin Bieber taking the third spot. Up next is singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo who once again delivers in style on her hit song “Good 4 U” from SOUR followed by Dua Lipa and DaBaby’s collaboration “Levitating”..
This year is definitely not sour for Olivia Rodrigo as she tops the Spotify list once again with her debut album SOUR. This self-released project features 11 tracks and a lot of pain from an ex lover whom she planned something with but already has another special someone.
Listed in No. 2 is Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia then Justin Bieber’s Justice, Ed Sheeran’s = and Doja Cat’s Planet Her at third, fourth, and fifth respectively.
