Dan Arwady, a musician, charting songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in Pacifica, California, has been steadily carving out a name for himself on both U.S. and international charts. Balancing a family life with his wife Angela, their three young children—TJ, Tyler, and Leila—and their dog Levi, Arwady’s career is entering a pivotal phase in 2025. His latest single, Cold in Memphis, is gaining traction, and anticipation is building for his first full-length album, The Weight of Love, due out in September.

Chart Success and Growing Recognition

Arwady first caught attention with Somebody Else, a track that stayed on the Mediabase Top 40 Activator Chart for three months, peaking at number 38 in late May. The single also crossed into international recognition, reaching number 7 on the UK’s Music Week Commercial Pop Charts. That success led to a partnership with The Administration MP, which now exclusively administers his catalog.

The follow-up single, Cold in Memphis, released June 20, 2025, has since climbed to number 38 on the Mediabase Top 40 Activator Chart. Recorded at the legendary 25th Street Studios in Oakland, the track features performances from the same group of musicians that helped bring Somebody Else to life. Guitarist and mandolinist Harry Griffin, cellist Chloé Mendola, and vocalist Cassie Annunziata all contribute to the layered, Americana-driven sound. Their collaboration lends the song the intimacy of a live performance while preserving its polished studio quality.

An Upcoming Album and Live Shows

Arwady’s debut LP, The Weight of Love, arrives in September 2025. The album will feature both charting singles alongside 11 new tracks, each exploring themes of love, struggle, and resilience. His songwriting is deeply personal, but also crafted with the listener in mind. By weaving his own experiences into broader narratives, Arwady allows audiences to find their own stories within his lyrics. His influences—Ray LaMontagne, James Taylor, and Chris Stapleton—can be felt in the blend of soulful authenticity and melodic precision that defines his work.

To promote the album, Arwady will perform two shows in Nashville, at The Row on September 15 and The Local on September 16. The tour schedule also includes radio interviews and live sets in Louisville, Lexington, Akron, Dayton, and Grand Rapids. The run will close with several hometown shows in the San Francisco Bay Area, where his grassroots fanbase continues to grow.

Creative Expansion in Nashville

Nashville will be more than a tour stop. While there, Arwady is set to record new material produced by Dean Miller, son of country music legend Roger Miller. He will also film a music video for his forthcoming single, We All Start Out As Strangers. These projects highlight his ongoing drive to expand his creative output while connecting with wider audiences.

The Heart of His Songwriting

What sets Arwady apart is his ability to balance craft with sincerity. His songs are not abstract exercises in storytelling but reflections of his own experiences, reshaped into something universally accessible. This approach has helped his music resonate across genres and demographics, placing him at the intersection of modern Americana and timeless singer-songwriter traditions.

Looking Ahead

With two singles charting, an album on the horizon, and new material already underway, 2025 is shaping up as a breakout year for Dan Arwady. His momentum is fueled not only by chart success but also by his relentless dedication to writing, recording, and performing. Fans along the California coast will continue to see him testing fresh material live, while new listeners across the country are being introduced to his sound through radio, performances, and upcoming video releases.

Arwady’s career is still unfolding, but his trajectory shows the combination of talent, persistence, and authenticity that sustains artists over the long term. If Cold in Memphis and Somebody Else are any indication, The Weight of Love may be the project that firmly establishes him as a compelling voice in contemporary Americana music.
