Established in 2016, this icehouse provides a cozy and inviting atmosphere that is perfect for spending time with friends, dining out on our daily specials, or enjoying a cold one at the bar. The restaurant has a large menu of American’s favorite dishes, including burgers, salads, sandwiches & our Southern Style Fried Chicken. We also have an extensive list of Texas beers, wines & cocktails. Our Bar hosts daily specials and features a wide variety of taps with plenty of selections to choose from.

What’s In Our Name?

Forney Ice House is named after the Forney Ice House, which was built in 1882 and located in downtown Forney. The building is still standing, but has been renovated in recent years. The Forney Ice House was a large and important asset to the community, providing ice for the entire town of Forney. It also provided a popular place for reunions, dances, celebrations and political meetings. The building was destroyed by a fire in the early 1970’s.

The Icehouse is now the home of The Ice House Bar & Grill. The restaurant is a family oriented restaurant, that serves to provide our guests with delicious food and drinks, while providing them with great service and hospitality that they would expect from any other fine dining establishment. Our great selection of food and craft beers provides you with an enjoyable experience.
