Collaborations among businesses have become a promising trend over the past years as there is nothing stronger than two great brands or organizations coming together to push a common cause. Rising clothing line Glam Scrubwear is collaborating with KARE, a labor marketplace that connects qualified caregivers and nurses with senior care facilities, to provide discounted, great-looking, and comfortable scrubwear to caregivers, also known as KARE Heroes. This collaboration comes as a welcome development for a lot of caregivers who work tirelessly and selflessly to provide exceptional services to their clients. 

Glam Scrubwear was developed by mother-and-daughter business partners Katrice Thompson and KaShirah Thompson-Monroe, who are also nurses by profession. That launched the brand of trendy and stylish scrubwear in 2021, back when countless medical practitioners were feeling the weight and exhaustion of serving during the pandemic. Katrice and KaShirah found a way to remain productive despite their exhaustion. They understood that they were not the only ones working diligently despite the threat to their own health and safety. Being able to offer something that can make hardworking caregivers smile is a priceless achievement. 

Katrice believes that this unique collaboration was a divine connection orchestrated by God right from the very beginning. Katrice began working with KARE, and it was only a matter of time until the other employees caught wind of Glam Scrubwear on social media. KARE contracted Katrice and KaShirah regarding a potential partnership, and the mother-and-daughter duo did not hesitate to agree to it. 

The collaboration brings together two companies with aligned visions and missions. As both Katrice and KaShirah are nurses with KARE, they have experienced and witnessed first-hand the hard work and sacrifices of their colleagues. Both companies take pride in being able to give back, and this collaboration was the perfect opportunity. 

Since its establishment in 2021, Glam Scrubwear has made a commendable lasting impression on its consumers. But more than just being a passion project, Katrice and KaShirah envisioned it to evolve into something transformative and powerful, a brand that promotes non-negotiable values and supports the causes of women.

“We’re aspiring to continue to build self-esteem in women around the world, to continue to make a difference in the lives of others, to continue to give back and pay it forward, and to become the #1 Medical Uniform Company Worldwide. Glam Scrubwear isn’t just a brand – it’s a movement,” the two explained. 

Glam Scrubwear thrives in giving back to worthy causes through its Gifts of Glam Initiative. Its owners pledge to give 10% of their annual sales profits to their initiatives that are designed to make a positive impact across the country and the world. Katrice and KaShirah wish to contribute to the fight against domestic violence, which is a pervasive problem across America today. They organize the Get Glam in Purple Gala, a fundraiser held annually during Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October. It is a promising avenue to raise financial support for well-meaning domestic violence organizations.

As Katrice and KaShirah continue to make a lasting difference through Glam Scrubwear, they can only hope to inspire more organizations to follow their lead and impact lives long-term.
