Houston native and University of Houston alumnus Joshua Jones, currently an offensive lineman with the Seattle Seahawks, will return home April 17 through 18 for a series of media appearances leading up to his upcoming free youth football camp. The camp is centered on mentorship, skill development, and community impact, continuing Jones’s commitment to giving back to the city where his football journey began.
A Full-Circle Moment for Jones
For Jones, the weekend marks more than a homecoming. It represents a full-circle moment rooted in his connection to the Houston area. Raised locally, he credits the city as the foundation of his athletic and personal growth.
A product of the area’s football scene, Jones played college ball at the University of Houston, where he started 45 games and earned second-team All-American Athletic Conference honors as a senior. He was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft and has since played for the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens before joining the Seahawks. Most recently, he was part of Seattle’s Super Bowl LX championship roster in the 2025 season.
Now back in the city that shaped him, Jones is focused on creating opportunities for the next generation of young athletes.

What to Expect at the Camp
The free youth football camp, open to local participants, will feature hands-on instruction from experienced athletes and trainers. Attendees can expect skill-building drills, mentorship sessions, and coaching in a positive and engaging environment. Beyond on-field training, the event will include food, refreshments, giveaways, and interactive experiences designed to make the day both memorable and meaningful for every participant.
The initiative aims to build confidence, promote discipline, and inspire youth to pursue success both on and off the field. The camp reflects Jones’s belief that mentorship and access to quality coaching can make a meaningful difference for young athletes. By removing financial barriers to participation, he hopes to ensure that every child, regardless of background, has the opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive environment.
Media Tour and Community Engagement
In the days leading up to the camp, Jones will participate in a Houston media tour. The schedule will include interviews and community spotlights that highlight his journey from local high school football to the professional level, as well as his commitment to making a lasting difference in his hometown. For Jones, the media appearances are an extension of the camp’s mission, a chance to amplify the message that mentorship and access can shape a young athlete’s future.
Sponsorship and partnership opportunities are available for local businesses and organizations interested in supporting the event. Additional details, including the camp location, schedule, and registration information, will be announced in the coming days.
