 Tech-enabled solutions, such as automation and data analytics, are driving efficiency and growth in ways that weren’t possible a decade ago.

The Sagiss survey also highlights a trend toward employee self-reliance in addressing technical issues. A large number of respondents attempt to resolve tech problems independently before seeking assistance from IT. This proactive approach is partly due to the rise of remote work, which necessitates greater individual problem-solving capabilities.
However, this shift doesn’t diminish the importance of IT teams. Instead, it allows them to focus on complex challenges, such as cybersecurity threats and infrastructure upgrades, rather than routine troubleshooting.
The trend of self-reliance aligns with broader changes in Texas’ workforce. With the state adding thousands of tech jobs annually, businesses are cultivating a culture of innovation and adaptability across teams.

Traditional stereotypes of IT professionals as socially awkward or solely focused on technical fixes are fading.
